About Jim Hollingsworth
Jim Hollingsworth, Winnipeg REALTOR - I believe that I was born to sell Real Estate! I come by it naturally. My mother was a mortgage underwriter for 25 years and my father was a commercial banker who financed many residential sub-divisions in Winnipeg in the 80s and 90s. I even interned in high school for my Aunt and Uncle who were a very successful Royal LePage Real Estate team.
I left Winnipeg in 1999 to pursue my ambitions out West, first in Calgary, then Vancouver where I lived for 13 years. It was in Vancouver where I got started in home renovations, working for a successful contractor for 7 years. I began on the tools, learning paint, drywall and finish carpentry and quickly worked my way up into a leadership role. I was promoted to Project Manager and later Sales Manager and led everything from small kitchen and bath renovations to numerous multi-million dollar restorations. I found a real love for turning old and damaged into vibrant and restored! I worked with multiple stakeholders including City Inspectors, Architects, Engineers, Tradespeople and of course, the most important, the Clients whose homes or buildings were being reborn. Praised for being an effective communicator and facilitator, I grew my portfolio of successful renovations that were delivered above expectations.
In 2014 I decided to move back to Winnipeg to be closer to my family and to have a better quality of life. I didn't realize how much I loved Winnipeg until I left! Today, I'm active in our community, co-founding the QX104 Slo-Pitch for a Wish charity tournament which has raised over $250,000 for Make-a-Wish of Manitoba. I live in Osborne Village with my partner Jenna who works locally in fashion. When I'm not working, I love playing golf, traveling and spending time with my family, friends and our golden retriever, London!
With over 25 years of experience in a variety of sales, marketing and project management roles, I bring a creative vision and a passion to the Winnipeg Real Estate Market. Reach out anytime, I'd love to chat!
